In response to the increasing number of people wishing to learn the Japanese language, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was established in 1984. The aim of the test is to evaluate and certify the language proficiency of primarily non-native speakers of Japanese.
The JLPT is a standard test administered by the Japan Foundation worldwide, and is offered both inside and outside Japan. The test has been held in Cairo annually since 1998.
Contents of JLPT:
The test has five levels, and an examinee may choose the level that best matches their skills and training.
Each test is made up of three sections: writing-vocabulary; listening; and reading-grammar.
