The Japan Foundation would like to extend its deepest gratitude for the many heartfelt messages of encouragement and support it has received from the Arab Republic of Egypt and other countries of the world, intended for the people living in Japan in the wake of the Tohoku—Pacific Earthquake of 11 March 2011.
We will overcome this tragedy, and cooperate closely with the people of Japan and people all over the world in order to rebuild the affected areas. We will do our best to continue our work in order to maintain and enhance international cultural exchange and international cooperation.
At this time, we plan on implementing the scheduled programs and projects as much as possible, but we also ask for your kind understanding in case of any changes due to the effects of the recent earthquake.
If you would like to make donations you can do so through The Japan Foundation Cairo Office. Cash or check (made out to The Japan Foundation Cairo Office) donations in any amount will be accepted and forwarded to The Japanese Red Cross Society. You can also leave a message to the people in Japan.
